My favorite haircut! An A line!!!

This was such a fun haircut! The back is always my favorite!
She told me I could cut it however I wanted. Well, FIRST I wanted to get rid of those dead ends so I chose to do an A line. The cool thing I liked is that the lightened tips in the front now accent the haircut whereas before it just looked grown out and damaged.

Saturday was a busy one!

Here's a nice refresh I did with PM Shines!!!

Color

This was a fun color I did last Friday. She wanted extreme contrast, so we did a custom color block.

Christina came back for a hair cut and some more color

InterCoiffure

I was selected as our schools representative to compete at InterCoiffure Rising Star competition at the Spring Symposium in Miami, Florida in April of this year. I am so excited to have this opportunity to sharpen my skills and learn from the elite hairdressers in the beauty industry!

Here's how the selection process went.
Three student from our school were selected as candidates but only one could go, so, our learning leaders and the dean of my school decided to have us each submit  a "Classic" cut, color and style along with our personal mission statement. They then voted on who they thought should go.

Here's my entry:

Through living my life with passion and love, I inspire and create. Excited to be a hairdresser, I consciously make an effort to further my knowledge and continuously grow. It is my personal endeavor to create magic, be a Daymaker, and give my guests what they crave!

Now the heat is on!!!

An Amazing day at school!

I hit the ground running yesterday! I did 4 haircuts and an updo.
Here's my favorite haircut so far.
As for the color, I used a technique called color melting.
I love it and it's so fun to do!

Current events leading me into my future!

I am currently going to school to become a hairdresser!!! I started at Paul Mitchell the School Boise in August of 2010. I have entered a dream world where I feel as though I'm cheating somehow. Is school supposed to be so fun? I can't seem to get enough.

Through school I earned my way to Caper. (A HUGE Paul Mitchell event). I had a blast and learned new color techniques and haircuts. I got to meet some pretty amazing people and spent time with some favorite fellow classmates.
The owner of my school, Lou Starita, has been an inspiring mentor of mine. I feel so blessed and honored to be going to his school. He inspires me to be the best. Each of my learning leaders have taught me so much. Their positive, fun attitudes have taught me the most!

 My Future goals:
  • November 2011 Graduate From Paul Mitchell
  • Gain experience through assisting positions and working
  • Become a certified Make-up Artist
  • 2015 Obtain a Learning Leaders Certificate for Paul Mitchell Schools and teach.
  • Paul Mitchell Advanced Academy
  • 2020 Open my own Salon
  • 2020+ Own a Paul Mitchell School
